Follow the blog the next two days while I'm out.
I will post everything you need to complete your work.
|
Goal: Finish charting the text and turn your text into a poem that shows the main idea
Agenda:
Journal
Finish Charting
Rhetorical Precis
Grade Check
1. Journal
How do you learn best - by reading, listening, or watching? Explain.
2. Finish Charting the Text
- Yesterday you began this chart and most of you made good progress. However, today you must be able to finish it.
- Remember, the "doing" side always starts with a rhetorical verb from the chart in our room
3. Write a Rhetorical Precis
- There is a question posted in Google Classroom for you to write a 4 sentence precis in response to the article about the immigration law.
- Use the rhetorical precis template we always use.
- You should be pretty quick and writing assignments like this now, so I bet you can do it before class is done today.
5. Grade Check
- Please be sure your compare and contrast paragraph is done in Google Classroom.
- When you are totally done and your assignments are submitted, please go to Powerschool and check your grades.
- Everyone has at least one assignment they can improve.
I will not be here tomorrow or Friday. Refer to the blog for the assignments you need to complete. Tomorrow you will have Mr. Obermeyer, a good friend of mine. Please be kind and helpful to him.
